Are you our next Analyst - Electronic Engineering Graduate Programme 2024


Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model.


Grade: Analyst


Contract type: 12 month fixed term contract with a view to a permanent role.


Our R&D incentives practice are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electronics Engineering Graduate to join our team as a technical analyst/ consultant. You will work closely with many different companies within Ireland’s exciting technology landscape using your technical and scientific expertise to identify eligible R&D activities for the R&D tax credits and RD&I grants.  In this role, you will be responsible for helping our clients to document their activities for these incentives.


A snapshot of your peer group:


  • Honours degree (2:1 or higher) in a scientific or technical field, such as Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and/or related disciplines
  • Some experience of working in a scientific or technical role
  • Some experience of technical writing
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Work with clients to understand their technology, products, and processes to identify R&D incentive opportunities
  • Participate in and conduct technical interviews with our clients engineers/ technologists to identify and document eligible R&D activities and expenditures
  • Review and prepare technical documents to support R&D incentives claims
  • Provide technical and scientific support to clients and during Revenue R&D tax credit audits
  • Learn the details of how the various R&D incentives regimes operate, the concepts involved and apply this knowledge in your day to day work.
  • Stay up-to-date on scientific and technological developments in software industry
  • Understand, analyse and communicate complex technical and scientific concepts to clients and tax teams in a clear and concise manner

Your team:


  • You will be joining a team of 35 people. Our team is comprised of people with a variety of backgrounds such as science, engineering, computer science, tax and finance. We work together to use our multidisciplinary skills to achieve the best for our clients.
  • Since 2004 our R&D incentives practice has been a market leader in this specialist area.
  • We work with multinational and indigenous companies in the electronics, life sciences, ICT, Manufacturing sectors (including those involved in the design and development of chip-based technology) and assist them to claim Research and development incentives (mainly the R&D tax credit) for their investment in R&D activities in Ireland.
  • The R&D tax credit scheme is designed to incentivise companies based in Ireland to develop or enhance new products or processes.
