Description and Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate to join our team as a Tax Research and Development associate. You will work closely with many different companies within Ireland’s exciting technology landscape using your technical and scientific expertise to identify eligible R&D activities for the R&D tax credits.  In this role, you will be responsible for helping our clients to document the activities for the R&D tax credits.


Responsibilities:

•             Work with clients to understand their technology, products, and processes to identify R&D tax credit opportunities

•             Participate in and conduct technical interviews to identify and document eligible R&D activities and expenditures

•             Review and prepare technical documents to support R&D tax credit claims

•             Provide technical and scientific support to clients and tax teams during R&D tax credit audits

•             Stay up-to-date on scientific and technological developments in software industry

•             Communicate complex technical and scientific concepts to clients and tax teams in a clear and concise manner


Requirements: 

•             Advanced degree (2:1 or higher) in a scientific or technical field, such as computer science, information technology, computer engineering or electronic engineering.

•             Some experience of working in a scientific or      technical role

•             Some experience of technical writing

•             Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

•             Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

•             Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

•             Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

 

Preferred Qualifications:


•             Experience working in a technical writing, consulting or advisory role

•             Experience working with software development

•             Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Alteryx, or Power BI
