As an Associate Director in KPMG’s Finance Transformation team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of finance for leading insurance clients. You will lead complex transformation programmes, drive operational excellence, and deliver innovative solutions that align finance functions with business strategy. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of finance transformation, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to deliver lasting impact.

 

A snapshot of your peer group:

  • Qualified accountant and a strong academic record
  • 7+ years experience in finance transformation and programme management, ideally within the insurance sector. 
  • Strong consulting background, or similar industry experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex transformation projects. 
  • Experience with project management - PMP, PRINCE II, Agile desirable
  • Deep understanding of insurance finance operations, reporting, regulatory frameworks, and industry challenges. 
  • Experience across the full lifecycle of transformation projects, from strategy through to implementation. 
  • Expertise in finance technologies, ERP and EPM systems, and process automation. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels. 
  • Experience working cross functionally with finance, actuarial and operations teams in an insurance setting.
  • Experience with data flows and key upstream and downstream finance data sets. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. 
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.

  • Lead large-scale finance transformation projects for insurance sector clients, ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on finance transformation and programme management.
  • Oversee diverse project teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and manage senior client relationships across multiple business units.
  • Design, plan, and execute end-to-end finance transformation programmes, including operating model redesign, shared services, and digital finance initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in insurance finance operations, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Advise clients on finance process automation, ERP implementation, and performance management solutions.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and regulatory changes impacting the insurance sector
