Our Project Managers are responsible for promoting and marketing KPMG Construction Advisory and representing KPMG Construction Advisory within the industry and within KPMG Construction Advisory and working on the ‘day to day’ operations of their projects with the Senior Project Manager and support from their supervising Director together with other Directors and Senior Practice personnel.

A snapshot of your peer group:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction sector.
  • Degree qualified, preferably in Engineering or related Project management discipline.
  • Highly motivated and with excellent industry network.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs that meet required standards.
  • Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management Principles.
  • Ability to make decisions and demonstrate the logic in reaching those decisions when required.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management software and toolsets.

  • Support in delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget and according to specification, ensuring that all project goals and objectives are met in accordance with the client's requirements.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the junior staff to ensure that effective project management methodologies and measures are being applied to achieve delivery within the established cost, schedule, quality, and safety parameters.
  • Assisting with the coordination of the project ensuring interfaces are considered and addressed at all stages of the lifecycle.
  • Facilitate & assist in the development of project strategies including procurement, permitting, power and network connectivity.   
  • Liaise with cost management team to prepare, maintain and monitor cost reports and prepare all project related POs.
  • Attend all project meetings to track progress, assess all topics and design changes, which potentially impact the project program and or cost plan. Ensure minutes are captured and distributed to the relevant stakeholders. 
  • Conduct regular follow up on all meeting action items with respective stakeholders and responsible parties.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating the Project Risk Register, identify risks, agree risk management for reviewing and managing risks for pre contract and contract phases. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products.
  • At the end of each work stage, partake in lessons learned workshop to ensure the team is working collaboratively and making regular improvements to maintain high standards.

You will be joining a niche practice area within KPMG, with a team of 50 people and growing.
